GraduationAfter three and a half years of Kentucky life it is time to say good bye to Asbury.  Well... almost time.  Graduation was Tuesday Dec 5th - Hoorah!  However, there are still a few more papers to write before I actually get to replace that yellow xerox paper that came in my diploma cover with an actual diploma.

At the commencement ceremony a good time was had by all.  We had Billy Abraham as our speaker, a new Biblical Studies doctorate was initiated, and it was fun as always to see the faculty dressed up like Harry Potter characters.  Abraham made me feel a little insecure about my graduation because I  didn't know what his sermon title meant: "Shepherds and Hirelings in a Hobbesian World".  I was think "Calvin and Hobbesian", but no he had some dead thinker in mind.  Other than that the sermon was very good.  He appropriately explained what his title meant at the get go.  However, he did make a lot of jokes that no one else seemed to get.  And after each one he would give the congregation a look over his eyeglasses with his head slightly bowed like we were supposed to know what he was talking about.  But the ones that went over our heads could be forgiven because on the whole it was a very meaningful, funny, and applicable sermon.

We are moving back to the good ol' land of East Tennessee in a month and excited about what God is doing and will do there.
